March 5th – End Of A Great Week

I really enjoy Fridays.   Work was awesome.  This new job carries a lot more responsibility and a few more hours but I am having a great time.  I like that I am working on more complex problems and am a major part of something.

I had a great workout as well.  I was tired toward the end of the day and wasn’t really feeling like going but I forced myself into my running shoes and out the door.  I was able to run a faster three miles than yesterday.  I am up to 5.5mph (woo hoo).  I realize that I still really slow but it’s not as slow as yesterday.

Unfortunately, I am back on the road next week so I will have to figure out how to keep my momentum going.  This time I am heading to Detroit.  The company I work for has a technology partner in the area so I am flying out to meet their development team and work on an integration project.   I am excited to work on the project and I am excited to visit a new city.

December 9th – Check This Out

I haven’t written in a couple of days.  Mostly because I haven’t been working out.  I am trying to force myself to move my workout to the morning so I am not allowing myself to hit the gym in the evenings anymore.  So far, this is not working.  I am feeling pretty bad about it so tomorrow is the day.  My whole day is better when I work out in the morning and I know that if I can force myself to do it for a week, it will become routine.

Now for the check this out part..  I spent the day after Thanksgiving with my brother and his family.  While I was there  I took a lot of pictures of my nephew Jamison.  Along with the pictures, I took this video.  Isn’t he cute!

December 1st – Not Much Time

I don’t have a lot of time this morning.   Had an awesome Thanksgiving and a really great weekend.  Running outside, in the rain, was really cool but it took its toll.  I was out sick on Monday and am still not feeling very well this morning.  I have  a lot of work to catch up on so I came in to work today.  I haven’t run since Thursday morning.  I am going to hit the gym after work today and try to put in a mile or two.  My cold isn’t really in my chest this time so I should be good for at least a mile and a half.  I will post again this evening after the gym.  I really hate writing a post and not increasing my mileage  counter.

November 26th – Giving Thanks

I went for an early run this morning.  I really like running in the morning and I really like running outside.  It was cool and a little wet this morning as I hit the trail outside my Dad’s place.  The first half mile was a bit cold and I was running a bit faster than I should have but at the mile point I had warmed up and I started to relax and run easy.  It was a great run!

During my run I had some time to think.  Thanksgiving is the traditional day to stop and think about the things and people you are thankful for.   I have always participated in this tradition but until this past year I had no idea what it meant to be truly thankful.  These past few months have opened my eyes to the fact that I am blessed to have wonderfully supportive family and friends.  You truly have saved my life and are all in my heart this Thanksgiving.
