February 25th – Run Down But Still Running

February 25, 2010

My second run today went much better than my run this morning.  I started things off a little faster than this morning, knowing that I was already tired and sore.  I was a little surprised that I was able to tune out and run for a mile before starting the interval portion of the run.  I think the key was running to music.  For the past few days I have been running to either the news or the Olympics but when I hit the treadmill this evening it was already tuned to the “Classic Alternative” station and there was a good song playing so I went with it.  My other trick was that I covered up the mileage and time so I just listened to music and ran.  It was a lot of fun.  The only problem is that I have now officially graduated from “Retro Rock” to “Classic Alternative”.  Classic rock here I come!
