February 23rd – Skipped My Morning Workout

February 23, 2010

I went back to the gym yesterday afternoon to complete my three miles.   I have a new goal to make better decisions when it comes to taking care of myself.  More specifically that means I need to drink more water, make sure I get my vitamins, eat better, and spend more time being active.  My goal is to incorporate these things into my routine so they become more habit than goals.

After running and lifting weights twice yesterday, I woke this morning to sore everything.  On top of that, I think I am starting to get sick.  Not “in bed whining” sick.  I just have that slightly congested feeling in my chest.   I skipped my morning workout, hoping that a little extra rest would fix everything.  The extra rest seems to have worked as I am feeling pretty good this afternoon and can’t wait for my afternoon run.

I cleaned out my office at my old job yesterday so today is my first full day working from home. Technically I am working from a local coffee shop this morning as my internet access is not being installed until tomorrow.  I really enjoy working from coffee shops.  I always get to meet interesting people.  Since I am no longer tied to my desk, I am going to hit the gym around lunchtime, I can’t wait!
